Reimagining Public Safety

In conjunction with the City of Austin’s Reimagining Public Safety initiative, this project aimed to present solutions to safety issues that unhoused people experience by providing alternatives to the traditional police system and emphasizing inherent strengths of homeless people and communities. The project had three phases: 1. surveys at Camp Esperanza, 2. survey analysis and dialogue about possible solutions, and 3. a podcast discussing meanings of public and safety.
